The poetic tale of Mary, whose innocent life is tragically turned upside down following a sexual assault, that gave birth to a manipulative and seductive alter ego that guides her on a murderous spree of misplaced revenge.

VOUCHSAFE was a project that I read a long time ago at SF State. A writer/director friend of mine wrote it. I’ve had feelings for the project for a long time and ended up directing it for theatre back in 2006. It was then that I saw it’s potential as a short narrative. It wasn’t until I took Producing and Directing at the Art Institute that the project really came to life. I used the script to produce and even though we didn’t actually have to go into production for class, I went ahead and did so anyways, since all of the leg work was already done.

There were a lot of firsts for this project. It was my first production with this big a crew, which made all the difference in the world. It was my first producing experience. I was the first time I got to work with the RED ONE MX. It was the first time I got to work with Zeiss SuperSpeeds, which were amazing. I will never forget that weekend we spent.
